Hi all,

I just wanted to get some feedback on how others do their article marketing for SEO benefit here and what kind of results they get.

I currently write 3 different articles per subject I am writing about, I submit one to Ezine, one to Buzzle and submit the last to various other article directories from lists. I do this all manually and write the content myself. I then leave the articles to be ranked naturally.

Should I be spinning the final articles that I am submitting to random directories? Are there any tools I should be using to decrease my workload? Am I using bad SEO tactics by submitting the exact same article to many different directories? Should I be doing anything else to promote the articles once they are published?

Any help, tips or past experience with article submission will be appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Powelly

Spam the articles with a bunch of links.. they need some help to get ranked..

I have submitted lots of the same article to lots of article sites and now my site doesn't rank :o Has it been black listed by google or simple in a sandbox stage as it's a new site.

It was ranking 8

It's always good if you can submit unique article to different directory but same article also acceptable to submit many directory not harm at all

So the conclusion from the replies is submit unique articles to each directory if possible and then create backlinks to these articles - but won't this take a large amount of time?

Yes, it can take some time. But if you do a good job at it, then it can get some really good results. Good results in SEO can mean real traffic, lots of traffic can mean real money.

Building and marketing a website isn't a get rich quick scheme. There's some BH SEO techniques that can speed it up sometimes, and automation can make it all easier if you know what you're doing. It's possible to really hit it big and the payout can be much higher than in any traditional job, but even in IM you still need to do work to make money.

How much effort are you willing to put forth to make serious money? The best answer should be, "whatever it takes".

Has anyone used Posterous to good effect yet? I've only heard it mentioned once or twice on the forum. I've just joined and currently thinking of how to fully utilize it.

Last year I was doing same... I posted article in ezine, articlebase, goarticles, buzzle and then made backlinks for them... All most all of my articles ranked for their targeted keyword and I did good with them... You can try...

Buzzle is not very good for conversion because of linking they provide... Others are good option... For rest (other directories) you can use spun version of articles to generate backlinks...

I am no longer doing this because I lost my goarticle account where I had good number of articles ranking for their keywords... I had worked long time and they were making very good money.... When they closed my account, I asked them for reason which they never replied... LOL i was bringing them 30-40k daily visitors through my articles... At that point I decided to make my own article direcotry and work on them... I am working with 3 article directory and they are doing good... I am ranking for several competitive keywords now with them...

Two ways for this:
1) Article marketing - submit as many as you can and forget for ranking... It can still make good money... I will only use ezine for this... They got quality traffic

2) Just get few good articles infact small landing page like article and then make backlinks for them or submit articles and pick one which got best CTR... Keep making back links until they start appearing in search engines (Top Spots)... I will use ezine, articlebase, goarticles and buzzle for it...

Not necessarily. Begin by posting the original articles on Ezine. Your articles stand a greater chance of ranking high on SERPs with Ezine hence you want tom make sure your articles go on to Ezine first before anywhere else. Once these articles are approved on Ezine and are indexed on Google, you can take them wherever you want. You can submitting articles to any number of directories you want. You can use tools if you want to do the submissions (See if this one still works: http://www.articlemarketingrobot.com/download.php) Also, make sure you are bookmarking all the article URLs you are generating through this process.

Submitting unique articles can only help increase the effectiveness of your SEO efforts. If you cannot spare time to generate original articles then you may want to try using UAW.

Do not hesitate to ask questions if you need more clarification.

Hope this helps.

It can't be because of article marketing. We do it all the time and it can only help increase your chances of ranking higher.

You need to think in quantity instand of quality,is better to use a article spam tool and have tons of links, instead of spend the same time to gain 10 links.

I would suggest a mixture between the two: quantity and quality. Its best to submit fresh and original content but quantity is also something to consider. Greywolf, Bizroot, and PPCmaster are spot on.

My take...
I always submit to ezine first...then the other 15-25 top tier article directories. After approval. I then submit a mass quantity of my articles to the other article directories. Your major concern is to have quality content on the top tier directories (these sites will bring in qualified leads & traffic). The rest of the submissions are just for link building purposes.

Hope that helped.

And social bookmarking your article urls is also a plus. You could also interlink your articles when submitting them ;)

Thanks for the replies everyone, I am going to try the trial with Article Marketing Robot and begin submitting my article to other directories once it is approved at Ezine each time. I may even use one of my resource links to link back to the Ezine article as well as my page.

Cheers:)

Being lazy as hell, I buy into the ezinearticles membership deally. You can then post 4 months in advance, which makes things a heck of a lot easier. If you want to post articles to get them ranked and generate traffic, nothing beats ezinearticles. If you want to generate as many links as possible, my experience has been good with unique article wizard.
