Its my personal IMHO, but out of my journeys (and I have been to many holes out there) Canada and US are the ones I liked least. I cant even explain why, its some sort of overall feeling you get - the best word I have to describe them is "dull", especially Canada.
 
Im going to let you in a little secret, the Dominican Republic is a must see, beautiful girls, beaches, night life, food, etc.

Im vacationing there in a week.

25 now, moved abroad first time at 19, now been living in South-East Asia for the past 3 years.
 
In Europe. I would say for value for money, climate, low crime, friendly people...Bulgaria!

I currently live in Amsterdam and I am incredibly satisfied here! There is always something happening in the city, people from all over the world, the city simply never sleeps!

Regarding to cost of livings - apartments are a little expensive, but the other things as bars/restaurants/basically life not really.
 
Theres no such thing as a best place to live. The whole planet has great stuff going on everywhere. Pick somewhere you can work from and live cheap and that would be a good start.
 
Cost of living in Philippines is very cheap. Your $100 can go a long way.
 
with good weather and nighlife i can recommend south of France,Spain (Barcelona),Italy also Brasil,can not comment on the rest posted here as i never visited them,but some is on my list ;)
 
If I were you I'd start by going :

* Bermuda
* Cancun / Playa Del Carmen
* Panama
* Peru
* Brazil
* Fiji
* Australia / New Zealand
* Singapore
* Philippines
* Thailand
* South Africa

and then onto Europe.

That should keep you busy for a couple of years.

UK is one of the few places I didnt visit. However, I have a good friends there whom I met while surfing in France, and they are sincerely the warmest people I met along the course of my life. They get mad only when Aston Villa loses, which happens only about every week. :)

What a lot of folks overlook is that a seasoned traveler never gets fazed with all the visa issues and the tedious paperwork and more...

Now having said that moving around the world on your own is easy enough...

But try doing that with say a wife and 2 kids to cater for and then it can become a nightmare...

It all sounds let a better option when you do not give it much thought, but often the reality does not match up to the imagination...

I laughed hard on this. However, I totally agree with every comment you said in this thread. Although I think the countryside in USA should be great. I guess when ever you go towards nature and away from civilization, the better it would be. At least for me

I was thinking about travelling around the world with my upcoming wife and always thought about the children.. ! I guess they can be trained to behave good while travelling :rolleyes:
