Best place to keep your money??

This thread just cracked me up.

OP There really is no way to answer your question without more information. How much money, how long, are we talking about money you are going to be using for living expenses or money that is being held long term?????

While there are some good suggestions here without knowing more it is hard to tell whether any of them would be good for your situation.

I think there are plenty of offshore solutions to keep your money "safe". But setting such solution has a cost if you want to make it "clear", so it depends on the amount you are speaking about to make it worth.

Place it in your personal vault then keep that vault safe in your closet.

Cook Islands, and that is all I'll say about that!

Invest it in Treasury bills. T-bills earn solid interest. Better to have your money worth more at the end of the year than worth the same (mattress).

It does truly depend on how much money you are talking about and what kind of access you need to this money in the future.

If you have children, you might even want to put some of that money into a trust fund for when they are older. Best thing to do is protect your money and let it grow over time in the process.;)

different on where you live, what situation are you in, and how much money do you have, also what kind of connection do you have. Sometimes having good connections is really goldmine because then you can invest with your friends in something better than just stocks or land. One more tip, diversifying your investment is very important

For those who answered banks, banks default all the time. Google it. If there's ever a epic crisis in a nation a bank has hidden legal options to close it's doors and ATMs and where would the FDIC get money to pay you back? Banks aren't the place for your fortune but they're fine for working amounts of cash. Diversify because the only thing that is guaranteed is change. Constant change.

Starts with "G" and ends with "old".

No matter what happens things will get worse. The media will make sure of that. Gold has always been a relatively safe investment.

Nonetheless - diversify. Cash, gold, other investments (including yourself / your business)

Stocks or if you wan't something less risky invest into Precious Metals or Real Estate.

Buy income producing assets + buy gold and silver as insurance. Every dollar that is printed makes the others worth less. Listen to bob chapman, the international forecaster on yt. Also the broadcasts on kingworldnews, thats what I do. Protect your assets, don't believe mainstream media like bbc etc who say the financial crisis is over.

I can get you some sweet bank accounts in Switzerland or Lichtenstein.
(;

If you're not even willing to send it to Switzerland you should put it into low risk funds.
