Hey all,

I have quite a few sites that rank very well, and am starting to get some new ones up.

They're all _very_ white hat, I would never buy links for a site or use a PBN... but...

I want to get some very basic starter links easily - the ones you can easily get if you put in the time. Nothing sketchy, no PBNs, just very basic links that everyone can get.

Anyone know where I can do that? I can't see much in the marketplace that's anything less than "X posts on my PBN!"

Web 2.0s, Profile backlinks, Blog comment with (Name), Free Press Release submission.

just build web 2.0s and make sure you are using great quality contents out there. nothing can be a better one for starting back links :) web 2.0s are really amazing sources. I dont think blog comments would work but web2.0s will work as I have got my personal experiences.

Do social bookmaring, blog commenting, social media sharing and forum posting.

RankerX is really good for white hat projects and link diversification. You have to pay per month though.

The best option to go with web2.0 and blog post. Make sure you will use quality content, avoid spun content and scrap content. If you build them, can get improve definitely. Try to build web2.0 sites looks closely related to quality site(on theme and structure).

use the starter links you used on your successful websites.

  1. Niche relevant directory submission
  2. Blog comment
  3. 5-8 web 2.0's
  4. Video, audio, image, document sharing sites.
  5. A couple of press release
  6. 3-5 Article directories
  7. Some community sites that accepts user generated content. (i.e. Medium, buzzfeed)
This should get you some good foundation of backlinks for your site.

Quality content .
Keyword research and effective keyword use.
Quality Inbound Links.

These steps make good backlinks for white hat starter links .

The best place to get starter links, if you want to put in the time, is to give testimonials.

You can have other websites publish your review of their product/program/etc.

You can also put in the time to get interviewed.

These are completely white hat but they do burn up a lot of time.

You did mention that you're thinking of links that require time.

As long as you're willing to put in the time, these types of links are the way to go.

There's one shortcut you might want to explore.

You might want to hire a virtual assistant to do the legwork for you.

By legwork, of course, I mean initial research and filtering based on potential link quality.

Once you have that out of the way, you have your assistant produce a nice list of context or better yet, your assistant opens the dialogue for you then you only just need to close the deals.

You'll be surprised as to how many interviews you get.

To increase your chances, make sure you write the interviews yourself and just have the link source approved.

NOTE: I was going to say Web 2.0 but everyone does those.... think outside of the box. Get links that are a bit harder to get.
