Hi, so I am planning to form a LLC in my own state of New Jersey and from what I have been reading it seems really beneficial to pay for a registered agent other then being my own. The only thing is I'm not really sure where a good site to get one is. The main two sites I have seen on this forum so far is legalzoom and freeregisteredagent/InCorp, however I have been seeing some really bad reviews with people saying how they have hidden fees and will continue to charge people after they cancelled years ago.

So what are some good places to hire a good and dependable registered agent?

Thanks

Check your local yellow pages. I personally like to deal face to face for legal aspects, advice, services etc... then deal through the net or phone. That's what I did when I opened a corporation. Just my 0.2 cents.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply,

Well when I just google "Registered Agent" for my area and search on the yellow pages I don't find anything. Is there some other name I should be searching for to find someone that would be a Registered Agent?

I suggest you use the search term "Lawyer" inside of "Registered Agent" then.

Cheers!

Well I can look into some around my area, but I feel like I'm going to be paying way more then the prices I see online. For now as I have been still trying to look online two that I have found that look like they maybe ok is mycorporation and bizfilings. Just wondering if anyone here has tried either one?

Thanks

It only cost me about 1200 CAD to open an incorporated company. It's not that expensive. As for mycorporation and bizfilings, never tried them.

Just a little bump to see if anyone else does.

So it was 1200 CAD to open it, but how much do you pay them per year for them to be your registered agent?

And I don't think he was saying you were a scammer, but that maybe some random lawyers could be.

Yes around that figure. So far I've had my corporation for over 2 years and have never been charged a cent after it was established. I have to pay my accountant to update the minutes and file a corporate tax return every year, obviously, but hold my corporate book instead of letting my lawyer hold it for me. So in my case I do not pay them to be my lawyer, but use their services when needed.

Best of luck to you in your future ventures!
