Just wondering where the cheapest and most reliable places are to host a website and buy a domain name for my new site. If anyone has had a positive experience somewhere your feedback would be much appreciated.

It all depends on your requirement. As everybody suggested hostgator, godaddy, bluehost etc. all are good.

HostFever.com offers great services and guarantees. They're still new so their servers are fresh. Their support is very helpful as well.

moniker, in my view is very serious when it comes to register and have your domains in a safe place, better than some commercial mamuts, read some reviews

JUsthost won't accept 'file sharing' websites..

    chat with customer service rep..

    Code:
me: Offering video and/or audio streaming or downloads, MP3 Files, Games and shareware is also not permitted on any Just Host server.

Rick: Yes, I am sorry, for the misunderstanding but we do not support file sharing

me: so i guess justhost is not for me... as i will pay $142 that will go wasted if i upload

Rick: Yes, you can not host the site as that will be file sharing.

    Rick: I am sorry.

Rick: Is there anything else I can help you with?
    me: thank you.

I use justhost, hostgator, and a few VPS providers. For domains I generally use internet.bs.

I would suggest HostNine. With there reseller plan, you can setup unlimited domains, and also set them up on different IP addresses through their network. If you are autoblogging, this seems like the only option until you are forced to host your own stuff..

    My 2 cents...

I use Hostgsator. Never had a problem or downtime and I like their 24/7 customer phone support.
