There's a thread here running right now where someone is complaining about how one of those 2 services doesn't work, and they are blaming the OP for not knowing how to build links.

They should run a special, buy pinging service, get free bottle of penis enlargement pills.

Lindexed and linklicious are the most popular, I was using linklicious but switching to Lindexed

I was using bulk ping but they seem to have stopped working so now I use pingfarm. You can upload thousands and it does runs of 500 at a time with small breaks in between. Pretty cool for free.

If you pay it might be better service, since you get what you pay for.

I run my sites through linkelious and sometimes also a scrapebox blast (since i belive that google finds my site quicker that way)

Yea and its a bag of crap that does nothing at all

Lindexed wipes the floor with it but even so I prefer to use my own ping lists

I would not recommend utilize any ping or indexing method to get your website crawled, indexed faster. That is just the same as sending a love letter to Google confess that you do something unnatural.

Seriously, would a normal website ping their pages to hundreds of ping service or indexing sites?

If you are going to do, do it on a much smaller scale, drip feed and only to your satellite or network sites.

So I build 50,000 links with xRumer and ping them all. Google may find that 50,000 links all pointing to one page and first discovered by a ping from the same sites is just a little unnatural.

There is a proper use for ping services, but sending each and every backlink you create through a ping process is asking for trouble.
