Could someone suggest some sites for sms verification? I tried sms activate but only one number was successfully verified, while other numbers were not working when i tried.

This one is also still decent, although the thread is closed:

If you create loads of google accounts and don't need them for a relatively short period of time, then use such type of services. If you create it for yourself and/or need a limited amound which you will actively use for a long time, then don't use any of these as many of these numbers are blacklisted (sms activate, onlinesim, simsms, smspva etc etc), by google and your google account can get disabled any moment; better go to your local store and get a sim card there, it doesn't matter if the country is not matching your google account's country.

I use SMS-Man no issues so far

I'm a bit biased but if you need UK verifications pvaguys.com is a great option!

Most of the verification sites use the virtual number so many of service not working properly. But there have such a good repuation website for verifaction as like SMSactiwator smspva etc.

5 sim seems good for me. But keep in mind most of the sms verification service provides use a virtual number or tool-free number. That's why many of types verification won't work for you.

While smspva certainly has its merits, textverified truly shines when it comes to Google. However, in all other aspects, smspva performs admirably.

dont know if someone mentioned but - http://www.sms-reg.com

There's got to me some easier method to verifying a google account that doesn't require going out and purchasing a sim card, surely, right?

Of course, You can use one of the websites written on top. I use 5sim mostly. If you can't get the code, click ban the number and get new one on 5sim so you can try another number without paying.
