Here is the list of tools I use sorted by preference:

    1. Ahrefs - hands down the best backlink profile checker out there.
    2. SEMRush - perfect for spying on what keywords your competitors are ranking but not really targeting them. Saves lots of time and money.

    3. Majestic, MOZ and OpenLinkProfiler - Although I prefer Ahrefs, no service out there will show you the full backlink profile of a website/page, so the more services you use, the greater are the chances you will discover more backlinks, as each service has its own bots that crawl the web and hence a different database.

    4. Keyword Research - except SEMRush, I also use GKP (Google Keyword Planner), LTP (Long Tail Pro Platinum version) and Ubbersuggest for scraping long-tail keywords.
    5. Keyword Tracking - Accuranker and SerpBook.

Yes, they implemented that feature recently. I still prefer SEMRush though. I am at a position now that I can afford paying subscriptions for all the tools out there every month. The best thing is to do the same. However, if you are just starting out or are tight on cash, go with Ahrefs, SEMRush (1 month free trial) and SerpBook (their lower plans are pretty cheap with discount). Also, about Accuranker, that's what I like about them as well - accuracy and speed.

For keyword research and perhaps a bargain that's speedy, consider kwfinder, my latest gadget. The speed in results, great one! Love it.
Yes, for reference, I am comparing it now to long tail pro, seo power suite enterprise, marketsamurai.

Depending on your budget I'll also use both Ahrefs or SemRush or partner with someone here to have access to both. The more the merrier.
Keyword tracking and a bunch of useful features for you or your clients --> get seo power suite pro or enterprise (got one heck of a deal BlackFriday!)

    Cheers

For back links, there are only 3 main players on the market, ahrefs, majestic and seomoz. The rest are minority players.

The consensus is ahrefs and majestic are pretty much equal, with some favoring majestic, some favoring ahrefs, while seomoz lags far behind.
Keyword research tool: all the tools you mentioned have their own advantages and disadvantages, but they overlap in a lot of areas. So you don't need all of them, just get used to one which you are more comfortable with, and keep consistent. If you are looking for a simpler option check my signature.
As far as serp ranking, most of them offer the same service, and the difference is mainly price and usability. You will find some of them inaccurate, but it has to do with how they scrape the results in google, but in the long term, when you look at data over a longer period of time and not day-to-day you can easily see the trend, regardless of occasional mishaps
