Best option for an EMD

The EMD I am looking for is taken and for sale for just under 20k lol. The EMD without the s is available or I could get the .net with the s. An example would be I want to rank for howtoinstallducks.com but it is taken howtoinstallduck.com is available or howtoinstallducks.net is available. There is minimal search volume without the S but I am just trying to figure out if it is better to keep the .com without the s or go with .net or .org with the s? would love to your thoughts.

I would go with the .net if you want to have the complete keyword. You could also still use the .com and create a brand-able alternative such as howtoinstallducks101.com, howtoinstallducksguide.com or learnhowtoinstallducks.com. This way you still hit your target keywords and get the .com.
