pay them a wage or split them the revenue depending on how much their work contributes to the bottom line.
but sounds like they are absolutely green. if that's true it's not even worth paying. consider an "unpaid internship" where they are paid in experience.
hiring friends is never a good idea. help them set up their own site/business for free. that will filter them quick if they are serious.
i tried to get many friends into IM, but only if I hear them complaining about finances.
90% don't care for it. the remainder that try, will give up the minute things get tough and don't see instant results. so many are simply not cut out for this kind of work.
for the few that took me up on the offer, i helped them set up their own site and bring in revenue. anywhere from $30-300 a day depending on the work ethic involved. you would think they would be grateful and stick with it, or grow into more methods. they never do.
i've also read stories on bhw of people who wanted to help friends. one guy trained his friend on his method. his friend scaled the method hard, became his biggest competitor, and knocked the OP out of the running. they weren't friends after that.
