I recently found a KILLER keyword, and the .com is taken, but parked ($725..). What in your past is the BEST ranking, besides .com?

My next choice has always been .org. But I have done good with a lot of .info's (contrary to popular belief that they don't rank well).

.info's are decent ranking, never had "instant" success with them.

Sorry for double posting, but what about these "new" TLDs?

Here's my order of preference if .com is not available.

.net
.org
.co

It takes the same effort to rank the "new" TLDs too but it'll take a few years for the average internet user to figure out what they see is a domain address and not a sentence started without a space.

You reply to almost every post I make, and yet still have knowledge that you can pass on. +1 man, +1.

If this was KILLER keyword I am sure .COm domain would be more than $725, that's peanuts money for something " Killer"

True that... I know it's fantastic from a easy-to-rank standpoint, as I got it from the #1 keyword research guy here on bhw. I also checked myself. It's fanastic, but the irony is that the niche keyword it's for, my father owns a brick and mortar business for ( I just asked for a random niche lol). I think that may be the best way to monetize it seeing as his products can be in the 4 digits! Yes, down the road, it'll be worth the $725, hands down:P

Also, I had a very nice domain I wanted for a product I sold, that I found was being auctioned, starting at $20,000...

This is true, .INFO dont rank well. I tried, I could not rank for very very low competitive keyword.

.info are just the same with the .com and major tlds in terms of ranking... I have tried it myself.

I can't rank my .infos', period. So if do have .info's, should I 301 redirect them to .net or .org if I already own the .info, it has quality backlinks, but just won't budge. Will that do anything for ranks for a .org / .net I buy that's emd (assuming the .info is also emd.)

This is my personal preference of TLD's if .com isn't available: .net, .org and .co :)
But remember do not put too much thought into what TLD you should get as it will not benefit you in terms of rankings.

Bring quality to the table and Google will reward you for it.
Good luck!
