Hello BHW,

I wanted to get anyone's feedback I could on a good sub-$100 microphone to record voice with during camtasia screen recordings.

I have a $30 headset but the audio sounds horrible and it's about time I invest in a better Mic.

I'm leaning towards to MXL - MXL 990 Large Diaphragm Condenser. It's about $86 on Amazon. I'll also make my own DIY sound diffuser with spare foam and materials I have.

Anybody have any experience with decent Mic's?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have two, AT2020 and behringer C1. C1 is almost the same for $50 last time i checked. I use my AT2020 for guitar recording but
both are pretty much the same, I just got tired of moving them from place to place and ended up snatching the C1. eBay/Amazon
cheap pop filter, arm stand and you're good to go.

Hi mate!
I am using AT2020 USB by Audio-Technica since three months and these are working in good manner. I've also used Alesis podcasting kit.

I need to get a new mic myself right now, definitely keen on some good suggestions around the $200 mark.

I've tried the blue yeti pro. Didn't disappoint.

I own a Blue Yeti Pro and its quite nice. They run about $120 new. They also have different integrated profiles that you can change from the mic itself.

I ended up getting a Samson USB Meteor mic, I'd say it's pretty good, even though it's absolutely horrible hearing yourself on the mic for the first time lol.

Cost around $70 from the store.
