Best Methods To Make Money (Mainly Online) 2025

I am currently a web developer and video editor, not doing anything much but I contact people on social media, I try to connect but I'm guessing I need to build a very strong portfolio for it.

Regardless, this thread is about anything and any type of money-making methods which you can describe to help each other here. What do you think is best?

The ones you are doing are not the best they got way too competition if you are selling your services. May be try to be a webflow developer, low competition more earnings.
The best money making are casinos, adult, betting, nutra and finance. All high paying.
 
I am web developer and mobile app developer, I am not getting any client for last 6 months.
Trying tp sell some digital products via facebook ads, getting some sell from there.
 
As you are a web developer and video editor you should have some portfoilio already. Just arrange it and show your potential clients. Try every possible thing possible. Upwork, fiverr etc. Also showcase your work in your personal social media account. These are also effective. Someone needed will find you anyway.
 
If you are a developer, then don't you make your own affiliate store and run google and social media ads and generate income??
 
AI made coding easy so there is currently heavy competition. It's not worth it to pursue web development imo. If you run an agency associated with some other company that brings clients for you, then it's absolutely fine. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time. You should rather focus on building SaaS or automation projects that bring money to you.
 
Video Editor? All you need is few clients who runs youtube and social media accounts. It will be like passive monthly income. Step your IG account as video editor and upload your work and run ads. You need to score only 5 clients a month to get good income depending on your geo.

Make a few quick sample websites, they don't have to be hard-coded. Pick a few places in your locality that you eat at(do say that you enjoy their food) and check whether they have any online presence. Design a website for them (simple and effective)-maybe with online payment portals(can be dummy) integrated. A lot of such places depend on reputed partners for orders and need to provide them commission. If they have thier own verifiable store, they can keep that commission to themselves. And a one time payment + support from you for the website< commissions they need to pay and its infinitely scalable.
obv not everyone would want that for their store, but a lot would enjoy and appreciate the offer. You'd build a portfolio too this way and know how to talk to people.
 
Selling website templates is the best choice because it uses your coding skills, earns passive income, and scales well on different marketplace.

I never tried running ads, wasn't my specialty. You think I should try it?

Appreciate it! I'll give it a try. Should I go hard mode on Upwork and Fiverr or just post gigs and wait for it?

Thanks for your reply, so basically I should reach out to them and make their website for "free", but instead of one time payment I should offer a commission based structure? Like what for example? For every online sale they make - I get this % or something else?
 
1) Build your own SAAS creating a tool to sell for a monthly subscription basis
2) Work as a freelancer and get clients interested on a video editor or a web developer
3) Put your knowledge in practice and start creating engaging and viral videos for social media

Just some ideas.
 
Build a small SAAS and try to sell it. You'll find more interesting stuffs along the journey. Just start.

Do you have some example on how to do it? I read some posts on medium and reddit but it's all black magic to me.
 
The best way is to take on freelance work to both earn income and build a portfolio, while building your personal brand and leveraging your web + video skills to create a complete service.
