So I'm sitting on some of the best content I've ever seen:
An interview with some very important people.
It's newsbreaking
It's some High PR shit
It's not blackhat

Imagine you had an interview with:
Oprah.
Tom Cruise.
Hannah Montana.
Some kinda shit like that.

How would you go about promoting it?
I need this to get EVERYWHERE
Viral ass shit.

What to do? I don't want a normal PR, I need something to send this to the stratosphere.

Promote it via social media.
Go to fiverr find providers related to your niche and ask them to tweet/post/share your link(content).
Go to groups/pages in FB, twitter, G+, youtube etc., look who has more followers, PM them and ask them to promote your content for some $$$.

OK, thanks for the ideas

Isn't there a service to bring this to? Or is it only with Authority sites that just create their own content?

Social media and Press Release is the best to make it viral..
Youtube video as well...

Straight on Youtube then promoting the youtube link on facebook. Going to fanpages bout the people in question and posting it there.

I did a quick video about that "howmany squares can you see" shitty puzzle. Stuck it on Youtube, then stuck the resulting URL on 3 or 4 popular threads that had this numb nut question on it - end of the day 125,000 views of my vid and hundreds of link click through.

Frankly it was so bloody simple I was amazed (this was only about 6 weeks ago BTW)

If you have stuff that people REALLY WANT TO KNOW it will sell itself and likely go viral as long as you seed it in the right places. That's about as white hat as it gets and doing social promotion exactly like the guys who invented it imagined it should be done. Proving that sometimes (just sometimes) sticking to the rules really works

Scritty

I totally agree with Scritty. If the interview is that good, and you believe everyone will want to see it, go with YouTube. What have you got to lose? Good Luck

Merry Christmas & Have A Prosperous New Year

I think youtube can make it viral and also an active social media & press release campaign.

Just wonder a Gangnam Style success by using a youtube platform as a media for promotion.

Youtube all the way and then as scritty said promote it on the social media websites.. it will go viral.

You tube, social media sites and press releases. Try all these to popularize your interview.
