Best Method for using Fast Unfollow to reduce temporary follow bans?

I have started a few Instagram accounts and have been growing them via the follow then unfollow method. I prefer to do my following manually for a few reasons but i have resorted to using Fast-unfollow for the unfollowing process as it does a great job speeding things up. The issue is after using Fast-unfollow to unfollow several thousand accounts I am then unable to follow any account for around 48 hours. Does anyone have any experience with rationing the unfollows in order to keep up with following accounts. Maybe a daily amount of unfollows I should do?

few thousand for a new account is too much. you should be looking at hundreds of unfollows a day. nobody can tell you how many, each account is different

I think you're right. I was going with a strategy of following about a thousand a day for six days then a day of just unfollowing which is why I was dealing with thousands. I'm now realizing this probably isn't the best strategy.

I'm able to unfollow over 1500, sometimes 2000 people a day for the most part without any trouble. There have been a few days where I got a captcha, but that's probably because I was following at the same time on my phone. If it helps, this account that I do it on is over 6 months old and has over 28,400 followers. On small accounts (10k or below most certainly) do less than 1K per day.

but why would you bump up your followings all the way up to 6-7k? why not lets say, go up to 1.5-2k and then unfollow them in one or two days. this way you'll break down your time between following and unfollowing. after your account has matured start slowly increasing the numbers. it might take a month, might take way more. one thing is don't push it too hard.

It wasn't a planned strategy I initially did it because I was unaware of the follow limit. Once I hit it I just unfollowed everyone and went from there I'm aware it isn't the best strategy. Dividing it up makes more sense
