Hi, I have a 3 month old domain which I am currently doing SEO work on. I was wondering what is the best method to improve rankings for a new domain that will not get it sandboxed?

Decide how many links you can comfortably build (or outsource) a week. Start out building half of that and work your way over a couple of months to the full amount. What you do not want to do is build a bunch of links all at once and then stop, that is what causes most of the problems. Do not stress over your daily/weekly ranking fluctuations as you bounce around a bit at first, in fact check them as little as you can for at least the first month. Make a plan for your link building for the first couple of months and stick to it and your site will climb in the rankings. After the first couple of months check out all your keywords and then come up with a plan on what to target for the next month.

Seriously just make a plan and stick to it and you will do fine. I pretty much start all my new sites out the exact same way. I create a plan and just build the links for the first three months. Then I look at my rankings and decide where the additional work needs to be done and make a new plan.

Personally I think more of where the links are coming from in the beginning than how many links I am creating. If we think "business"
From the "get going" I want to expose by brand as much as I can. Business when they advertise on TV or send Press Releases they
are NOT worried about backlinks or if they will have a "server crush" traffic. They think "Who Is Talking About Me?."

I sincerely BELIEVE that any search engine thinks the same way. You think by any means Google will "sandbox" you if all of sudden
you created 1000 backlinks proven to be from PR websites (some paid), and website directories? I don't think so.

Isn't it what any BIG company does? They start a new project, submit PR "left and right," create ads, create buzz and so forth.
Following these steps they "generate" tons of links in a short amount of time.

So what FOR ME counts the most for a new domain is the initial quality of your backlinks. After a few months, there will be a bit more of "tolerance"
and you will be able play a little more.

It's about what that website means to you. If it's a profitable keyword and good place to be for as long as you can, then I would say
"Establish a Good Rap FIRST" with PReleases and WebDirectories.

Just a note: ALL of my websites that followed this "strategy," were granted PR2 in a few months (3-6 months). And sticked on first page the longest.
