Best method for getting affiliates

1. How much do you get paid in Comms? by % or $$. Im thinking 5% of sales ( average sale is $2k being $100 per sale )
2. Is targeting a local area ( Sydney, Australia ) too small for online affiliates &/or should i look for the "local single mums" to come on board.
3. Do affiliates create their own marketing or do i do all of it? ( my preference is i create the content to maintain consistency in the brand )
4. Any "need-to-know" info you can suggest

2. I would say broader audience. If there's any constraints to limited affiliates, just set a higher bar for requirement.
3. You should try to help your affiliates as much as I can. I wrote a blog post about finding the right affiliate vendors and one of the biggest red flags is unsupportive vendors (I.e no help with marketing)
4. If you plan on expanding your affiliate program, having a nice website where your affiliates can track progress (I.e clicks on their links, abandoned shop carts, conversion rate, etc..) will help the program immensely.
