i'm looking for a new messaging platform, been using skype but i would like to know if there are better ones out there.

There are a lot of messaging sites lately, but Telegram, Viber. WhatsApp are one of the most commonly used by users globally. If you want to utilize skype's features then Zoom and Google Meet still meets the criteria that you want

No questions asked its telegram.
Decent privacy, channels and multi-chat groups. A pretty good programmatic control bot api, and these days you can even make some money with it with telegram ads in channels.

Check out discord it works well for both work and casual talk, and works better then skype IMHO.

Telegram is my choice. Group chats are really nice, you can even add different topics within a group chat. And the privacy is nice.

i think telegram is not a bad choice. a lot of people on the forum are using it.
