Hi! I'm currently handling few local businesses and trying to optimize their maps visibility. I'm looking for the best local SEO course around $100 or less. any suggestions?

You can get best courses on Udemy.com for less than $50
Visit the website, learn and thank me later. Cheers :)
I learned all my skills from there.

On udemy there are a lot of courses. Could anyone suggest any course please? Which is new and good.

I don't recommend any paid course for the same when you have YouTube to learn it for free. If you need a certification then you can go with SEmrush (Local SEO Course with Gregg Gifford) or search for the most reliable on Udemy.

Udemy is fine for basics, but not to learn to work on clients sites.

As stated above, Udemy is good to learn the basics and fundamentals but you won´t obtain the value you´re looking for in order to offer it to your SEO clients.

There are just a handful of Local SEO courses out there that are worth the money and many of them are closed for new registrations.

The best way you can learn is if you get a job at a marketing agency focused on local SEO and give yourself a few months to learn and ins and outs of the business.

Other than that, you´re looking at gaining experience on your own by testing either with your own sites or your clients´ sites (NOT advisable).

Some free resources I can recommend are...

William Jones YouTube Channel - This guy has some decent local SEO audit tutorials that I believe are worth watching (Check his other playlists)
Pat Quiroz YouTube Channel
Web 2.0 Ranker YouTube Channel
Chris Palmer YouTube Channel - I can´t stand watching this guy´s videos (he´s overly hyped for me) but, he has some decent content.
Duda YouTube Channel - It has some decent interviews and webinars worth watching (On Local SEO they have 3 of these so make sure to search for them)
Craig Campbell YouTube Channel

Some courses...

[FREE]
Local SEO Course with Greg Gifford from SEMRush
How to Master Local Keyword Research from Brigthlocal Academy (Also check their rest of courses)
Local SEO Unlocked from Neil Patel
Local SEO Course 2.0 by Local Client Takeover

I hope this helps, cheers!

There is a lot of information on Local SEO without a course. Many of the courses are just dated and cover the basics at best. Local SEO is a process and requires very few steps.
1. Aquire and verify your Google Profile
2. Choose a category that best suits your business
3. Determine main keywords (not just geo-based keywords but actual keywords local customers who live in and around the area use.
4. Determine your trade area where 80%+ of the local business will come from.
5. Reverse engineer the top 2 competitors for main keywords (highest searched) in your trade area and duplicate their efforts. Directories, Niche Directories, Avg Posts, Review Rating.
6. Use CTR manipulation services but only with 4G local proxies from the local area specializing in Google profiles (no bots on desktops that also do youtube, websites, etc)

Another good idea despite people saying otherwise, name your business in each location using your top searched keyword with a geo modifier. Be creative in doing so but its a big plus.
Notice I did not mention the website, or location pages or anything like that. Yes, you need a website, but if you are strapped, use the hoaky Google website to start in your GMB. There are national companies using these horrible looking sites because they constantly update content from your posting, reviews, services, and photos. Google loves them and they are great for GMBs used for local lead generation. Of course, a beautiful branding website for each GMB is preferred but since organic is only about 20% of the equation for local leads, not near as important as points 1-6 above for helping a local business with actually selling something.

First try to free courses from YT and for upgrade courses try from Udemy

Best local SEO course?

When it comes to boosting your website's visibility, SEO is key. If you're looking to learn how to SEO your website yourself or take your company's SEO to the next level, a local SEO course is the perfect solution.

There are a number of different SEO courses available, and not all of them are created equal. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a course:

Reputation: What do other people have to say about the course? Are the instructors experienced and knowledgeable in SEO?

Once you've found a course that meets your needs, it's time to get started! SEO can be a complex topic, but with the right instructor, you'll be on your way to increasing your website's visibility in no time.

Conclusion

Overall, while there are many different local SEO courses available, the best one to choose is likely the one that fits your individual needs and provides you with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information.

Just go to Skillshare and search for "local SEO 2022". The information you will get there will be superb and cost you next to nothing

I just realized it would be nice to include some sources from my list above.
Step1. https://support.google.com/business/answer/2911778?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroidS
Step 2. (extensions like GMB everything can give you categories, there are others)
Step 3: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7337243?hl=enS
Step 4: This takes some research and you can start by asking your client. If they are not sure for their industry, then realize if its brick and mortar, most of their business is coming from the local area around the location. In a metro area, for say a dentist, 3 miles for general and 5 for cosmetic. But for a local market, figure 1 to 2 miles. The surest way is to survey actual customer receipts, or with email from a list if they have one. Digging will give you what you need or just go with common sense by category.
Step 5. Reverse engineering can come from a number of different sources. Brightlocal has a local audit tool that has most of the variables you will need. Total citations, top category, etc. How often they post is important too. Step 6 recommendation will give you a geo-grid for each keyword that also contains top competitors, top keywords and current GPS rankings by trade area so maybe that step first.
Step 6. This tool has everything great information on competitors and runs GEO Grid maps using radius, and polygon to eliminate desert, lakes, oceans, etc, and even drive time. After maps, it runs CTR using 4 and 5G mobile proxies from the local city with a 95%+ click through to the GMB rate. This will drip traffic and in use for over 2 years has been the best way to rank and keep clients for me. For agencies with multiple accounts, https://mappackmagic.com/ . You can also get it on Legiit at:

If you would like a copy of a GMB optimization list and competitor worksheet, happy to share just send me your skype or email.
Can i have a GMB/GBP list and competitor worksheet plelase?

Admittedly, it's been a while since I've watched a local SEO course but I have watched Brian Willie's videos and they're incredibly comprehensive.
