Best Laptop For 300$ ?

Come on, this topic again? I recommended a Dell laptop I purchased last month in a couple of different threads. You can read my posts below.
Okay, here's the laptop I purchased not too long ago. It's a business laptop called the Dell Latitude E6510. You can find them between $150 and $250, with the latter fetching you the best version of the laptop with a dedicated graphics card and a 1080p screen. Right now, if you search for them on Ebay, you can find several listings for the i5 or i7, 2.6 GHz, 8GB versions for under $200.

Based on my experience with the laptop, it runs most games, including some modern ones; and it should be able to handle the tasks you plan on using it for with ease.

Hey @L33T, I thought I would bump this thread in case you were still looking for a laptop.

If you go on eBay or Amazon, you can find a Dell Latitude E6510 for under $300 (most of them are $200-$250). I recently purchased one and here are the specifications:

  • Intel Quad Core i7 720m @ 1.60 GHZ
  • 8GBs of DDR3 Memory
  • 320GB Hard Drive
  • 15.6" screen 1920x1080 Resolution
The screen is a bit smaller than what you were looking for, but something to note is the 1920x1080 resolution; most laptops have that 1366 x 768 resolution, even the 17 inch+ ones.

If the CPU speed is a problem for you, these laptops are apparently a lot more modular than other laptops, and other owners (from what I read and watched) have no problem switching out the CPU for a better one.

The one I purchased is identical to the laptop used in this graphics test video. You can tell the laptop is older, but I can tell you right now that it's signifcantly better than my other 3 laptops (but not my desktop; it's not even close).
