Please help me to choice good laptop brand and model.I know apple is top on rating but it's too expensive for me.so what you guys thinking about Dell and HP? I'm looking one around $700-$800

Thanks for reading

Personally I am a big fan of the ThinkPads and earlier Lenovos - built like tanks, easy to upgrade and OC - not a fan of Dell/HP...too much bloatware

I have a HP PAVILION DV6 sine 2012 (core i7 6Gb ram) and i had problems with hard drive ! i changed it 3 times!

this is because of the terrible deign of the heatsinks on both the DV6 & DV7.......heatsinks face the back of the keyboard and are on the sides of the main exhaust fan...literally creating a vacuum for dust/hair/etc to hit the rear wall of the heatsink...had a dv7, was tired of cleaning it out all of the time...finally found a hack to change the backwall of the heatsink

Dell and HP are trash, I've burned through multiple in a single year. toshiba qosmio's were okay, but only Lenovo laptops don't overheat, and aren't overpriced. They also have cheaper on site repair warranties than other places.

I was for a LONG time an HP fan boy. The problem with HPs are some models are complete crap. The last CEO was not exactly a brilliant person, and the quality took a dip. New stuff and stuff from 2013 and newer have never failed me. I am currently using a Pavilion G7. It does not have the specs I like but it will not quit.

I have grown to love Asus. Great quality and a fraction of the price of other computers with the same specs.

Dell have been okay. Everything else I have used was unreliable.

i vote for ASUS but it is not on the pool list. So I'll vote for HP

Didn't vote because you forgot to add MacBooks in your list
