Just use SEMrush to find what keywords your competitors using and check their ranking and links getting.

SemRush is a great option. I must have seen similar threads on the same topic a thousand times, so I https://www.blackhatworld.com/search/4490229/?q=keyword+tool&o=relevance&c[node]=30 real quick. There are a ton of threads to read from, OP.
