For keyword research, you don`t truly need any tool besides Google. They do come handy for competitor`s analysis and to get some basic metrics but the big part of the process its just "manual" work.

Or as it has been already posted above, your brain or "sixth sense".

I am also giving my vote to google. There is really nothing more telling about the chance to rank than simply typing relevant variations into google and checking the serps for competition.

You need an estimation on search volume anyway, though. Otherwise your keywords might be useless.
 
I have analysis ahref and semrush . Both are the best keyword research tools
 
I personally would say kwfinder for beginners and semrush for more advanced users.
 
Are there any cheaper orders for Ahrefs and SemRush that can be bought on this forum?
