Best Hosting Site?

Thanks to everyone on the forum. I appreciate all of the very real information that is provided on the forum so hence my question:

I've used god*daddy and Kiosk of which neither am I nuts about. My next stop was going to be host*gator.

What are your experiences with host*gator or who would you suggest for mostly white hat marketing? And on the other side of the coin Black hat marketing?

Unfortunately I can't recommend a shared hosting account as I use my own dedicated server, but I can chime in with Hostgator. Not a big fan. Definitely not a good idea for black hat, and if you run into any type of white hat related problem, they aren't exactly helpful (in my experience).

I use dreamhost as one of my shared hosts .. haven't had any problems with them so far. Their customer service has been excellent. If you have any specific questions, you could PM me or post them here ...

I used dreamhost for a while but my sites loaded slow when I only had 100 visitors per day and my sites kept going down it was no fun. I eventually got fed up and just bought a VPS from knownhost and I am very happy now server has been up for 48 days solid now.
