Best hosting for autobloggs?

Hi!

I'm getting started with autblogging and wonder what host you guys would recommend? WHM would be nice but not required.

I've had experience with 3 hosting companies:
Host Gator is a good one and many people on here seem to recommend them. Check out their "Baby" package which you can use with unlimited domains.

Godaddy is ok. They tend to have more down time. Today is one of those times...

Yahoo is terrible for hosting. In fact I tried installing wordpress and they install an old version because their servers are not compatible with the new version. You also can't use 90% of the themes and plugins out there with Yahoo. They put so many restrictions on what you can do in the name of security. Avoid...
 
Here are a few things to consider when looking for an Auto Blog Web Host:

  • Must be a Linux Host. (Wordpress runs best on Linux Systems and most of the Plugins and companion products you will want to use do to.)
  • Must have over 10GB of Space for every 10-12 Blogs.
  • Must have over 3GB of Bandwidth for 10-12 Blogs.
  • Must be a cPanel/ WHM (Web Host Manager) Host for ease of use.

Recommended Hosters for Autoblogs are:

  • Hostmonster (Shared Hosting) ? the site says it has unlimited domains, bandwidth, and bandwidth, but this is not true. No more than 10-12 Auto Blogs on this site or it will come back to haunt you. Great service, I love them, but they have their limits.
  • WPWebHost (Shared and ****************** Hosting) ? the servers here are built to maximize Wordpress installations and Wordpress Multi-User sites. It has great resources and can be a low cost solution when starting out. New accounts also get Free Domain Registration as well.
  • Mochahost (Shared, Reseller, and ****************** Hosting) ? One of the better Hosts with numerous features and great Customer Support. The Shared Hosting has caused problems for those who want to install the ABB Optimized Wordpress Installation. VPS/ Reseller/ ****************** setups have not had these issues
  • Site5 Hosting(Shared/Reseller/VPS/****************** Hosting) ? Current Members have said that the Customer Support for Beginners is excellent and that the Hosting is first rate. Highly recommended for Beginners.
  • LiquidWeb(Shared/VPS/****************** Hosting) ? Members have said the Hosting is first rate and the ****************** Servers are considered some of the Best in the Business. Customer Support is also rated very high for this host.
  • SingleHop(VPS/ ****************** Hosting) ? An outstanding Host with more resources and features than most. The ****************** Servers are the best around and their Tandem Reseller accounts are the best in the Business.

I must admit that my experience does not support any claim that Bluehost is suitable for autoblogging. My account was suspended because I was using Reviewazon and Associate-O-Matic.
 
HostWinds PHP Memory limit is set at 64 mb this is more than other shared hosts (most only give 32 mb) and this will ensure your autoblog stays running at peak performance

We have several sites using wp zon buider and wp-robot with no issues at secondhomehosting.com
 
Hostgator have suspended my sites two times due to a high load of running processes and that's only with 5 sites (baby package) and with W3 Total Cache installed.

Ok, one site had over 10 000 visitors a day in the last few days but still. If you plan to have 10+ sites and a total of 10 000 visitors / day (combined) i wouldn't recommend hostgator.
 
I use Bluehost. I'm not sure why I don't see people talking about them more. I think they're pretty excellent.

And supposedly they are the leading hoster for Wordpress. So that'd probably work well for massing autoblogs.

HGs shared servers don't take advantage of memcached or eaccelerator with their shared hosting plans. W3 flies with those. You may talk to them about that new cloud flare thing they're doing. Seems pretty legit.
 
HostWind's servers are optimized for autoblogs, we even allow 64 mb memory limit for php and can possibly increase it on a per case basis
 
You can pretty much go with any host if you don't abuse resources.
If you tend to update your feeds once in 10 minutes then forget it. Get a VPS at minimum.
I personally think that anything above 5 updates per day is useless. And potentially harmful.
