First thread here at BHW. With little time I do have to log on here, I walk away learning something new every time. Here is my dilemma. I currently have a website hosted through GoDaddy on Wordpress. My website has 300+ quality images of sunglasses and load so sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow and I have their Ultimate website hosting. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to what I need to do to get my website running faster? Keep in mind I am new to all this and actually had a friend help me put the site together.

I believe that trouble is in WP optimization, you should have VPS with root access to have rights for optimization of scripts

For shared, try hawkhost and hostgator.. If you are handling CC information I would suggest to get a dedicated IP with SSL..

use a plugin called w3 total catch - this may help u a bit

I suggest you buy VPS not hosting package!
VPS is more stable and professional!

I'v been reading good things about hostgator. I will look into it.

I have been using hostgator for many years, have no slow load problems at all. What hosting do you use right now?

Godaddy. Ive talked to a few people and I keep getting the same answer, "you need a dedicated server because you have so many pictures on your website".

nah, just try to install cache plugin first.

for wordpress i suggest u geniushost.in. they use CloudLinux 6.x, AMD Opteron 16 core CPU, 32 GB RAM,Raid 10, Pure SSD server. websites load very fast with any of cms.

It is suggested a VPS (Virtual Private Server) but before taking anything please investigate the database , Bandwidth , Traffic on website and url mapping (if you are using)...also send a ticket to your hosting provider ask for a reason....
