Best Free Wordpress SEO theme?

    I'm new to wordpress is there a certain best SEO optimized theme I should use for the best SEO? And then what about SEO plugins should I use them together? I'm looking for free stuff right now btw.

    Can you not install themes on free wordpress.com domain?

    You will need to have a self hosted WP setup in order to use themes and plugins. Otherwise you are limited to whatever wordpress.com has available. If you do end up doing a self-hosted version, I would caution against using free themes. Not all but many of them have coding errors or other elements that are not desirable.

    You should probably not worry too much about the theme and focus more on your on site SEO content. Make sure to put keywords in titles and headers.

    one last question, if you use a free wordpress.com hosted blog can you not alter the html code of the blog, to say put in a content locker or something similar?

    I'm fairly sure content lockers will get your blog automatically banned (at least it's like that on many other sites, like Tumblr).
