I think you still get one free report per day from ahrefs.com if you create a free account. It used to be 10 per day but they cracked down on it.

K-meta is a nice tool to check on competitor's sites. If not, use SpyFu, SemRush or KeywordSpy to fish out more information.

K-meta.com it's for keywords selection organic or ppc, very good for competitor spying,
but not for backlinks...
