It's not exactly free, is it ? with basic package which is $29 per month gives you 100searches per 24 hours. With free version you can do 5 searches per day.

There is keywordtool.io It shows all keywords but to get other metrics you need to get the paid version.

Google keyword planner is the best. Just select the exact match option to get accurate results ;)

How can we bypass the setting up a campaign in order to use the keyword planner?
 
For keyword research Google AdWords is the the best tool. You can try for that one.
 
Free Tools is really not good for keyword research except Google Keyword Tool.

You can use trail but too much limited to do proper research. If you dont want to buy any tools. Then Hire Some one to do research. Search in the Marketplace or from Upwork(oDesk)

Not sure why no one answered this, as it was asked multiple times? Lol but for anyone still wondering, all you have to do is setup a normal gmail account (go to google, and click sign up in top right corner). Log into it after you created it, and then type into google search bar "keyword planner". Click on the first result which is the google keyword planner. You will either be in at that point, or you will have to type in your email and password one more time, and THEN you will be in.

So basically just set up normal gmail, and use it to get into keyword planner. Dont go straight to signing up for adwords

Google Keyword Planner is the most prefferable and best tool. According to survey 60-70% SEO Firms are using Google Keyword Tool. (Google Adwords). If you don't know about it just find the solution in Google by typing that keywords.
 
OMG!! I have been trying to get to the keyword planner for 3 hours!!!! ( ok, off an on lol ).
Everytime I try to sign in to my gmail, going by the instructions above, once I search for keyword planner and click it take me straight to adwords to set up an ad. And what a stupid page, no outside links to anything. Its set up an ad or nothing.

Any help getting to the the Keyword Planner would be greatly appreciated.

I mean I have my website, etc etc and ready to do my IM - can't get past finding the d**m KWP - I know, I know, its a little scary, hahaha.
I'm really very good at internet stuff, but wow , can't get past this one .

Anyway - thanks for any help!!


SO NEVER MIND ON THIS -

I just went thru and set up and ad and then I was able to get to the tools.
