I been googling around and there are a ton of websites that offer free forums and hosting but charge for you to use your own domain,
however, ZetaBoards claims they dont charge, but do charge a small fee if you wish to run your own adsense ads.
I already had huge failure with one board, that was completely free, then come to find out, they block html even though they said you can run free ads, sadly I thought I had it going on, no point is running a forum I cant run ads on, even if its free, and to be frank, the board itself is pretty nice, plus exactly what I need, I plan to have a bunch of user levels, at least 5 not even including the admin, this is free-forum.net , not even normal text appears in the ad area, sad, I see no way to run ads at all.
Anyway, is Zetaboards worth a shot.
Or does anyone know of a better option?
I dont have a lot of money, just looking for a decent board, that I can run google ads on or even adsensemedia, and use my own domain.
I really dont want to have to pay a ton of money to link my domain and have their ads removed, only to find out the board sucks.
Second question, currently I have my domain forwarded to the "free-forum.net" from Godaddy, I did the 301 thing with masking.
can you still rank a domain that way?, I am still trying ot figure out backlinking an such.
Sorry for the noob questions, but is it the same as if you attached it with A records, it doesn't seem logical that it would carry the same authority.
