Hello,

I am thinking of starting a movie/video streaming site that i'll update with new episodes/videos of TV shows.
I like to plan things up before so i'll don't have any difficulties after and just want to know some effective ways to monetize a TV/cartoon shows streaming site?
I've been in this money making stuff for years (about 2 lol) and had really good knowledge and ideas before but then after no development I quit :l.
Now again I want to try different methods so need some NEW yet effective ways to monetize a streaming or even a NORMAL multi-niche site.

Thanks to whoever helps :p
Peace :cow04:

You will need an online presence to get traffic since there are so many other competitors who don't require the user complete a survey. Your biggest problem will be getting traffic.

I've ran live streaming websites in the past and I succeeded because I included a viral script where users needed to like my page before viewing the stream. After liking my page they can view the live stream for 15 minutes before a content locker appears.

Hope that helps!

Hello,

Thanks for replying but I'm definitely not looking for putting surveys into a video streaming website.
I'm looking a make money like other normal video sites where you get pop up ads and have to view ads before playing any video (like a start button+ad and when you click start you get pop-up ad in next window)
I saw this on many websites (almost all) so just want to know how they do it and is it CPM or something?

I'm pretty sure there might be more ways as well

Any good suggestions?

Unisex dating offers pre & post roll, or injected in the middle of the video.

Hello,

Currently I run two types of advertising on my streaming site. A popup that gets triggered when the user first clicks on something (there's a 30 minute delay between popups, so it's hopefully not to obnoxious). I also use the Linkbucks auto script to shorten the links for the videos. Honestly you won't make much unless you've got a ton of visitors, so using a viral script - as mentioned by poppington - to get things going would be a good idea. Good luck, mate!

Injected ads in a video works well. I use them in a streming video player and there is pretty good fill. The problem is to find SSP which agrees with this kind of advertisment if wish to have quality ads for better CPM. I use 2 or 3 SSPs for this.

Either lock your website for the visitors, or build up an email list and market different steaming related products to them. Email list = money on demand
