about to start a e-commerce website and wondering which one go you guys like the most when it comes to seo? So far I really like what Magento has to be offer but I have never used it on a website.

I like magento...but it is kind of a love/hate relationship. There are a number of features that you would think would be common sense for them to incorporate into the system, but it is not.

It is also a steep learning curve.

Despite what I said, I would recommend Magento if you do not mind having the occasional challenge to overcome.

Definitely Magento if you are happy to overcome the learning curve.

i decided to get a vps from ChimeHost and setup magento on it and there is a def a huge learning curve to magento. It looks like Magento doesn't offer both retail and wholesale solution. You guys know any solution that offers both wholesale and retail solution in one?

i do have xcart license but x-cart is pain to upgrade.

I like Avactis.. I believe they have support for wholesale and retail. Easy to learn too.

We use x-cart for our ecommerce stores. It's very flexible, and has the option for retail/wholesale.

I like interspire. They have everything you need. But it's pain in the ass to manipulate its php, css etc.

I used oscommerce , zencart , and I am learning magento , magento maybe the best , but it's a little bit hard to learn.

Joomla + Virturemart. A mature platform with tons of extensions. Good support forum.

Another vote for Magento... However you'll definitaly need:

- a tweaked server
- good knowledge on how to make pages load fast.

I use interspire as well. I have tried others but for me, interspire takes the cake.

I do however, change a lot the positioning of various elements in the source code.
