Best domain hosting site?

You mean domain registrar, right?
i've been using www.prime-domain.com to buy n host my domains..think they r a reseller of GD but cheaper than them..good support etc..

There is not really a BEST, personally I use eNom but many people just use godaddy or namecheap. I don't know who is good for blackhatting.

The cheapest 1. If all your doing is registering and going to host somewhere else it really doesn't matter.

Not at all, many low-budget hosting companies, which are very unknown, only last a few months in the game, maybe a year or two before they go down, the web hosting buiness is so hard to compete it. I suggest you go with a well known hosting company (Hostgator, BlueHost etc) which you trust, although many people suggest you don't host your domains with the hosting company and I totally agree, I personally prefer to use namecheap.com as they accept paypal payments easily and I like the interface, I've never got on with GoDaddy and I've never been able to buy a domain via Paypal with them, but $3.00 .INFO's is OK (From namecheap)

I won't disagree that you don't want to go with some fly by night company. But for domain registration there are plenty of cheaper ways then hostgator or blue host. You will practically pay double going through one of those POS. And honestly I have register domains through many different companies and have yet to lose one due to a company going out of business. But maybe I'm just lucky. Namecheap.com is not a bad choice though.

Always use a hosting company that is not related to your domain registrar.
Register domain names in Godaddy, Namecheap, Moniker or name.com
(use some coupons for godaddy: http://godaddy.couponcodesmall.com )
and hosting depends on your need, small site? Medium? Big?
Small site: hostgator.com, fatcow.com....
Medium to Big: vps (powervps.com) or dedicated server (sorry can't recommend any).
