Currently, I am on blogger but I want to try a couple of black hat methods and don't want to risk the banhammer coming down on me or my (not profitable yet but starting to pick up) blogs. I found a couple different hosting services for a wordpress site, one being GoDaddy, but they wanted $2,600 for a .com domain name (that matches my free blogger one). Seems a bit much, and as I posted before, I have a limited income and not much to invest. Can anyone recommend a service that can support adsense and affiliate links?

GoDaddy wants 2600 buck for a domain? You mean it is already taken? Because domains usually range between $10-15 per year mate.. And Hostgator, Inmotion, GoDaddy, 1and1 and countless others.
