I'm in the market for a good directory script since i'll be building many yellowpages-like directories.
Would love some input from you guys on recommendations. So far, the 3 best I've heard of are:

and Esyndicat

I own licenses with all 3 products you mentionned. I also conducted extensive research about other products for the last 2 years.
I don't have time to compare them extensively but here is a quick +/-:

positive since it is one of the most popular, it's easy to find outsourcing help
Good SEO
many templates (paid & free availables)
negative
it seems that you always need to add paid plugins to make do what you want
PHP My Directory
positive
out of the box it has some good features
negative
not a lot of outside resources available for help
not a lot of templates available
I heard (but I am ok) that some people had problem with the script
Esyndicat (new version 2.3 is out but not 100% ready)

out of the box, most likely it's the script that has the most included features
simple to install, and the new admin panel is quite nice
price is good
support
man, I wasted many hours with support.
Either they don't read correctly your ticket + communication problems with English
Bugs are frequent, quality control is weak
Big lack of outside help available
IMO, the choices of templates available is poor
It really depends on what specific features you want and budget.
I think that these scripts are ok for "low budget" projects but if you want to build it big and top, you could consider also Joomla + some Directory extensions.
