I have a couple of sites offering free stuff with a content locker.

Currently I am using the wordpress theme Lightword on all of them.
This is how my average site looks like:

This theme is nice for blogging, but I think with a theme that has a better space at the top with the call to action could get me a higher CTR as well as CR. Now, when they click on the orange button, the content locker pops up.

What themes can you recommend?
Cheers

Bump!
Anyone got a recommendation?

Lightword is a great theme, your call to action is in a great location above the fold. just make sure it is worded properly and designed good.

Fidsars is right, the less distractions the better. No matter what theme you decide to go with, I highly recommend doing an A/B split test since it's your money site. You can upload a free plugin like this one, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/abtest/

While you're in a mood to make modifications, Ryan Deiss published a report a couple of years ago that did extensive A/B testing on just about everything from background color to size of the Buy Now button to drive up sales. Might be worth checking into.

That is a great advice! Thank you. I should really try this out.

So you think I will see better results if I just make my moneysite look like a blog/personal site, instead of having a "professional" business-like theme?

Thanks for your answers
