Considering Coinbase is a Principal Visa member and has already launched debit cards in the UK, US launch should not be far off (unless some bureaucratic red tape happens). I'm hoping for a 2021 launch.
No fee to spend USDC but other cryptocurrencies have 2.49% liquidation fee. You will also earn a 4% reward in XLM or 1% back in bitcoin, based on what you choose.
