Best Connection setting for SB?

Hey all.

I bough SB yesterday, and pretty much had an average experience. Everything is slow, considering my broadband connection (1mbps).

I currently have default setting, only exception being Google harvester (100 connection). With all SE's checked, I'm able to harvest 3-4k URL's in 50 seconds.

Proxy checking is also pretty slow. Any fix for that? (Other than upgrading the broadband)

What connection setting should I choose?


Also, 1 more problem. I have a list of 60 keywords. When I try to harvest results, SB misses (or forgets) to harvest from half of those. For those 60, I have to export not completed and then import again usually 7-8 times. Any fix?

I use some neighbors wifi connection, and it's pretty shit, but if you set the connections too high for your internet, it's only going to make it slower. I keep google harvester at 50, and basically everything else stays the same, except I put proxy harvester at max to 100. Leaving it at default took me 40 minutes to harvest and check proxies, while at 100 it takes about 7 minutes now.

And yeah it tends to miss some keywords, lowering the harvester settings might help with that as well as turning off multi-threaded harvester, but in the end it's still going to miss some so just something you have to keep redoing till you get them all.

@Dayum: I am also on a WiFi. So, I should split-test with connections, is what you say?? Well, I will then.

if you are using regular proxies, slower is better. You will end up with more URLs while going at a slower pace vs. 100 connections
