Best CMS or framework to sell membership-based service ?

Hi guys,

I've built some websites offering free services ... which I can easily transform into an API ...

By now, some guys are scraping hard and I guess there are selling it so I'm thinking of turning things into a membership-based website with monthly or annual billing ...

I'd like to handle the payment process via paypal atm but the more options are available the better it'll be.

I was thinking of using WordPress at first but I don't really know if it's the best option ... Prestashop or Sylius might also be an option ... Or dev something by myself but I don't think this would be time effective ...

Technically, I just need a payment processor and a way to know if the subscription linked to the user account is still active.

So I'd like to know if some of you are running this kind of service and what is the best option in your pov.
