Hey guys. I'm about to convert an aged, well-linked website that has been ranking horribly with every possible technique (although it is not penalized) to some CMS. Which CMS, just not Wordpress, is best for SEO overall in your experience?

Thanks.

Find my post about seo and cms in this forum. It dosent matter, that was the awnser. :)

As above it doesn't matter, most CMS's can be SEOed as good as the other.

Ease of SEO implementation, now that's another matter! This is wear wordpress does excel.

There was a case study long ago, made by one of Germanys top seo's. He explained why it is always bad if you have to use plugins and addons for SEO and the best case is if the CMS' have the most common features already aboard.
I played a bit with seotoaster cms which has really good onpage seo from the start but is awefull to administrate. ModX and Concrete5 are really nice tools with handy SEO options directly integrated. Personally I almost every time go with Concrete but be aware that the most addons are premium and have to be payed.

Fyi the no.1 site for web design is a joomla site
