Hey guys,
I am moving some of my ad budget from Facebook to Native ads (Taboola and Outbrain). The scale looks huge, but their compliance and review process is way harder than FB.
My main problem right now is speed. The cloakers I tested slow down the page by a few hundred milliseconds. This either kills my CTR or makes the ad network suspicious because of the lag.
  • For those running native ads here: What does your setup look like?
  • Do you prefer using API or JS integration for native platforms?
Also, is anyone using TrafficGuardian for Taboola? I read that their server speed is very fast and doesn't cause any lag, but I wanted to get some real feedback here before try their services.
Would love to hear your experiences or any other tool recommendations that work well for native ads. Thanks!

All cloakers gonna slow you down a few ms, there is no escaping it

I recommend getting reviewed without a cloaker and 100% clean pages, warm the site up with the native ad platform first, then start your cloaking setup

I'd focus on compliant traffic filtering and campaign optimization rather than cloaking. It tends to be more stable long term.

Use a PHP API instead of JS because JS causes lag, which gets you banned by Taboola and Outbrain. For fast tools, TrafficGuardian, Adspect, and ZeroCloak work great for native traffic. The best trick is to submit your campaign with a clean page and the cloaker turned OFF, and only turn it ON after you get approved.

For native traffic, I would test the actual landing page speed first without any extra layer. Then compare API vs JS with the same traffic and measure TTFB, redirect time and final page load. A few hundred ms can definitely make a difference at scale.

for native always stick with php api, js causes notice able lag on taboola n outbrain. tested hideclick, jci, n TrafficSaviour on native flows, latency is basically nthing if server location matches target geo. best way is still getting approved clean first then turning filtering on after.

For taboola and outbrain, PHP makes more sense than JS if speed is your main concern. Keep the server close to the target GEO too. TrafficShield, Adspect and JCI are some options for native traffic. Also worth getting campaign approved on a clean setup first then adding the filtering oncce everything running properly.

if u want real speed then check your server location first, it shud match your target geo. and always submit campaign with clean page and cloaker turned OFF. once ad is live and getting clicks then only turn it on. js integration is waste of time here it kills the speed.

These networks you mention use GeoEdge to scan and review your urls. They use Residential Proxy and real device patterns, so blocking them just with PHP alone is not enough, you will get banned easily. Also, using just JS script to cloak, will easily get you flagged by geoedge simply because they will flag your url just by the existence of the JS script, they dont even need to catch you.

The trick with these method is different. It's a combination of PHP and JS in different stages.

Regarding speed, with any cloaker you use, the load time will be reduced simply because you're requesting data from external servers.

agree on geoedge, pure js gets flagged fast on native.
page lag usually happens when the script pings external servers on every click..
if u enable local caching on tools like TrafficSaviour or Cloakerly, the check runs directly on your own host. page opens instantly nd no latency delay.
