First you need to set what you are going to deliver to your clients. I would prefer to use a combination of plugins rather than a AIO plugin that may offer many features but none of them with proficiency

For example, I would prefer to set a combination of Memberpress + Gravity Forms to create a simple and scalable client portal (with simply a membership called "Client" for example). In case you have different type of clients which access different type of sites, you could be easily generating new roles for them from Memberpress.

If you don't want to go through all this hassle, just go simple with Client Portal

I would recommend WP Client Portal, Project Panorama, WP Private Content Plus, BuddyPress, and Client Dash.
