Best Classifieds Ads Script !!

Hi Fellow BHW'ers !!!

I have been researching the net for the best classified script available to setup my own classified website and have come across a lot of them. Each claiming to be better than the other.

If any of the members have had any experience in running a classified site and would care to share their experiences/ recommend a script , I will be grateful.

Also , please mention any pitfalls I would do well to avoid during the the project.

You have open-classifieds.com which is free, clean, and easy to configure. It depends on what features you want.

You can use demo or trial version to understand whether scripts suits you or not

I did a classifieds site once upon a time and then sold it for about 2000$ 3 months later.
I'll give you a quick tip on how to start driving traffic to it immediately upon launch.

What I did to start driving traffic is, start posting on craigslist in different cities around the states kinda promoting it. At first your ads will stick for a while and then eventually they will start getting flagged in some sections / cities but you'll get a butt load of traffic coming to your site instantly and get a ton of uniques in a short period of time.

Also what I did is, I started ripping ads from craigslist to populate it until people started posting on there themselves.

My first day I only posted in a few cities and managed to get a little over 2000 uniques first day just from a couple of posts so you can imagine how high you can scale it.

Could you please explain what did you post in the craiglist? Listings from your website or part of listing and URL to your websie? Or something else? Thanks in advance
