Best & Cheapest Place to live

Anywhere can be a 'dangerous' place... it all depends on what and who you involve yourself with...
Costa Rica is good if you have plenty of cash - nothing is as cheap as it was years ago. Prob. a better place to retire (as it has a stable political environment) - it takes decent cash to have a joint on the Pacific.

Thailand and surrounding locales - awesome place, food, etc, but can you stay focused!???

I vote for moving about when/if possible.
Cebu has 'caught' my eye....... thanks all

Please, accept my invitation to come to Ibiza in the Balearic Islands located off the coast of Spain.
You can choose the kind of life you want. Origin and destination of the european hippie and psychedelic LSD movement in the 70's. You can also find the best discos and clubs Techno Trance, at summer time the best DJ's in the world make their sessions ..... But you'll spend all your money.
You too can live a quiet life eating natural products, enjoying nature and good "grass".
The sunset in ibiza is amazing.

Un saludo para todos.

I think if I make enough money from IM I would love to live in Eastern Europe (currently living in western europe), so it's gonna be maybe Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, or maybe Ukraine, Moldova or Belarus if I am insane enough or have improved my Russian to a sufficient level :)

My country, Philippines! Well Cebu is the best place to be.

You can live here for like $5 a day for food and $100 a month for a nice apartment :3
If you love nature, you will love here. If you love beach, you will definitely stay to travel the whole country. Visit 7000+ islands if you want :P

anywhere in asia is pretty cheap because they keep their currencies weak.

I have traveled all over Asia and find the nicest place to live is Thailand. the food here is awesome. girls are, well, pretty awesome in bed too. :D

I also think China would be a nice place, if you like city living. Shenzhen China in Guangdong is where I stayed for a month. the weather is cool all year around, unlike most of southeast asia.

personally, I have lived a pretty okay life here in Asia on $1,500 a month. right now, where I live currently in Thailand, there are some nice semi-luxurious studio apartments around for about $200-300 a month. in places like China, you can get some cheap apartments too, but they are not as nice.

so for me, asia is where it's at for the time being.

Cebu has vigilante that kill criminals? hmmm
didnt thailand condemn you to death if they found 10 grams of pot in your house?
anyone read about the taxes you have to pay to live in these asian countries without being a national!

For $20-25 a day, you can already buy or rent-to-own condominium units in Cebu. You can eat a good food for $2 or less per meal.

Bali Indonesia very cheap and very beautiful, some of the suburbs of Tokyo
and Kyoto Japan are very reasonable and close to amazing cities and fantastic
girls. Dominican Repubilc towns like Cabrete, Santiago, Sosua and Puerto
Plata are really cheap and not like the crowded dangerous capital. The girls
are the best in the world. A blend of all nationalities. You can live very cheap
as long as you have a laptop and net connection at all of these places. DR is
really a super deal for the American dollar. Bali too.
