Hey mates,
I am about to create some NFTs and I want your opinion about various blockchain for minting them?

What are your goals? How do you plan to market them? Are they individual pieces or part of a large collection?

Ethereum is dominating the market right now. Solana has a bit of support. Polygon would be next. Binance Smart Chain after that.

That's general rules.

Thank you.

I am a traditional artist (painting), my NFTs will be individual, pieces. I have no idea on how I will market them.

You can choose any blockchain which fits your basic requirement ( Speed, scalability ) . all blockchains have almost similar attributes. You can choose from anyone ETH, BSC, Solana ........

It depends what you are after in terms of technology and marketing/community type.

Each network has its specifics in terms of community.
If you believe in your marketing abilities you can choose whatever network is best in terms of technology for your project.

Ethereum is said to be the most established blockchain for NFTs and minting NFTs , but it's gas fees make people go nuts , making it unprofitable for low-cost transfers. Sometime in the future , Ethereum 2.0 is coming at it will then operate on PoS ( proof of stake ) and hence reduce the gas price - when Ethereum 2.0 will come , as of now no one is certain.
For many people now currently , Solana is the most preferred platform for minting NFT. Solana uses ia new system PoH ( Proof of History ) and gas fees just around $ 0.00025.
Other established blockchain for NFTs and minting NFTs , with low gas fees are Polygon ( MATIC ) , Cardano , Binance Smart Chain's BSC-based NFT platform
Some others lesser known but good ones are :-
Tezos - this blockchain is new , so the problems have not been settled yet , such as some token delays sometimes. Then there are WAX , EOSIO , Avalanche Avax Network , Terra , FLOW , Polkadot ( Effinity ) , Algorand.

Eth 2.0 got scrapped though

Solana is nice as it has low gas fees making it easy for flippers to operate which can also be a double edge sword though

Adornoad covered this pretty well. Cardanos recent price drop cuts some of the profits making Solana and Polygon better choices. But there is still Cardano NFTS worth decent money.
