I found my current one (name escapes me ATM) by looking thru the top plugins list on the wordpress site.

this one backs up your site to dropbox and best of all it's free

have experience of dealing with backupify and wp/db/backup plugin, you can consider them as well along side of others!

Using BackWPup, working great for me and can backup straight to dropbox.

why use a plugin and possibly leave yourself exposed. use phpmyadmin and just export the database to raw sql statements.

I'm a big fan of BackUpWordPress which backs up both files and db's then emails a copy to you, it can be found on the wordpress plugins site (i'd post URL but i'm a newb) and it's free.
