I can also vouch for ezine, articlebase, Go Articles and Article Alley.

Here are the top six i recommend and manually post my articles to
1. Your own site first
2.Ezinearticles.com
3.articlealley.com
4.articlebase.com
5.largearticle.com
6.goarticles.com
Post last at goarticles as it is autoapprove.
Some Article directories doesnot allow duplicate content.So you should submit your article to first them and then to other autoapprove directories like goarticles

I love articlebase, non of my spinned article are declined, all are approved

yes I found article base good because most of the article that i put got syndicated but all the article are nofollow even if it is syndicated Imo not so usefull if it is no follow.i vote for Articlesbase because a lot of autoblogs are using articles from there and this way you will get backlinks for free

Goarticles are good for approval but I have posted one article in articlebase and other in goarticle both with keyword optimized but the goarticle article was nowhere to be seen in SERPS where as articlebase hit the 2nd position for my keyword.
