Hi, what 4G\LTE modems models do you use for building 4G proxies in the USA? Where to buy?
I know they must support LTE FDD bands 2,4.
My aim is mainly Huawei or ZTE.
Is Huawei banned? ( from my experience, no).

It purely depends on your carrier. And Hauwei is way better than ZTE. Hauwei is more easily manageable and has an unofficial API you can use. ZTE does not and is all around a pain in the ass in my experience. Buy from China.

I've had good success with Huawei, it's definitely not banned. Aliexpress or any Chinese wholesaler is the best place to get them, just be prepared for slow shipping. You can find them on eBay and Amazon sometimes if you need faster shipping, but it's usually too expensive to be worth it imo.

Huawei is the way to go imo, and you definitively don't want to cheap out on the brand, and get some $20 router which will need to be restarted all the time :)

Some note on Huawei, it's still fine right now but it might not be so in the long run. It's not a question of "if" but "when" since Huawei is in steady decline over the west. For example, just last month Canada has banned Huawei's ZTE, 5G gear from it's 5G networks joining the "Five Eyes" intelligence sharing network. Might be able to tell this early which way the wind is blowing for Huawei. Nevertheless, make of the information what you will.
