I've been thinking about this for a while and it's actually a good question...

If there was no IM, how would you make money INDIVIDUALLY ?!

I don't mean getting a college degree and working under someone's orders, IM is a free market where anyone can make cash online, what are the other opportunities ?

Also, what type of business are you knowledgeable about (besides internet) and is there any other 'job' related to IM, where you can work on your own ?

Post everything, online, offline...

In this life, you won't be rich if you don't have your business (not including the situation where you need to have great education/degree and experience), so, what are the other ways to be your own boss ?

I'm not asking this for myself, just curious about what people know and think.

I would've probably go to college, learn economics/finance and work for someone. Then invest that money.

I'd have to think about this for a while but I'd probably get into the offline advertising business for Doctors & Lawyers.

I would probably become a rent boy, there is less shame in it than working for the minimum wage.

If there was no IM I would go into real estate and that is what I am planning to do when I have enough to invest.

I'd probably sell lemonade or something. Do some offline advertising and hire people to do the boring stuff. I'm not even joking, almost any product can be sold as long as you market it properly.

I'd probably have a job as a burocrat somewhere. Or maybe repair broken stuff.

If it wasn't for IM, I would of went back to doing busboy work or the latter.

I work on cars now.. If I had money for startup I would probably open my own shop.. Either that or open a few laundromat's. Easy money and low maintenance!

I'm currently fixing computers part time and selling computer parts. Planning to have a shop or computer parts store when I have all the financing ready. :-) Also planning to scale up our current small time furniture shop. :-)

I would open a computer hardware shop...Another thing I am currently working on is to open a gas station + car repair workshop...Saving money for that...

Sell empanadas by a freeway off ramp in a giant van with the words "free candy" spray painted on the side.

Most skills are transferable, so using the Marketing and Business Skills that we already have we could be successful doing anything from Street Hustling to running a huge Conglomerate.

Just take the I out of IM and you are left with Marketing.
In the offline world, you would do your research, start/find/create a product or service to promote and then SELL SELL SELL.

Once you have worked for yourself, you will find it very hard to go back and work for somebody else.
You would have to be in truly desperate situation to take a step back and work for a BOSS.

And of course, if all else fails there is always Drug Trafficking and Arms Dealing to fall back on.

Nothing is beneath me I'll bend over for a dog turd or I'll rescue a dog that eats them.

Money follows and there is a certain level of satisfaction employing people.

IMO you're still working for a boss. The difference is one gets to clock out.

The only 9-5 job I ever had was 2 years ago and it lasted only one month, so, nope, I'm my own boss.
